Ask for the Review Before You Leave
The best moment to ask is right after a happy customer says thanks. Not a week later by email.
When a customer says "this is great," that is your cue. Say "Would you mind leaving us a quick Google review? It really helps a new business." Then hand them the link or QR code right there.
Ask everyone the same way. Google does not allow asking only the happy ones.
